This was my first read from M.K and I thought it was the sweetest summer read, filled with angst, love, loss, healing, and plenty of laughter.
This is definitely a change of pace from my regular dark romance vibe and must be noted that this story evolves from a very 'young', young adult read through to a new adult as the story progresses, so keep in mind when you jump in.
The concept of this story was really interesting, and I loved jumping through the years following the main characters as they spend 2 weeks of summer each year at a timeshare with their families. It was cute to follow the progression of both the relationship between Adam and Evie, but their personal growth as well, as they mature and figure themselves out.
If you are after the following, then give it a read!
childhood friends - turned enemies - turned lovers
lots of angst
cute coming of age
plenty of laughs
quirky characters
sweet young read
"All I am asking for is for you to say three words. Eight letters. Say it, Adam."
