I was super excited to read this one. Everyone knows I love a dark book, and this didn't disappoint on that front, definitely check those TW before diving in.

Firstly, can I just say Alex definitely knows how to write morally grey characters, with not 1 but 4 questionably dark figures. I love the concept that all the characters are villains in their own way, all with emotional and dark pasts that attract them to each other. I'm hoping we are going to uncover even more about each of them in the next books.

I loved the interaction between Vane and Holmes but wished we got a little bit more into their relationship development, as well as a few less time jumps. I know this is a personal preference but for me it does confuse the storyline a little bit. In saying that I love the idea Alex was going for with their demons finding and falling for each other before they did but would have liked to see just a little more into their growth.

If you love a dark, spicy, and angsty romance filled with damaged characters, action, betrayal, twists and turns, a chaotic plot, and twisted triggers then give this one a shot. Great debut from Alex!
